Not my photo, but I think it offers a little perspective on pricing and for what it’s worth here’s my two cents!
There is absolutely a place for every price point in the Homecoming world. Grocery store and floral shop pre-made mums can be a great option for families looking for something simple, traditional, and ready to purchase.
What I create is simply a different product and a different level of service.
Every mum that leaves my shop is custom designed and handmade specifically for the person who will wear it. From the overall design and ribbon selection to the braids, custom pieces, personalization, layering, and finishing details—each element is intentionally chosen and created to work together.
When you purchase a custom mum from a maker, you aren’t simply paying for ribbon and a flower. You’re investing in materials, craftsmanship, design, personalization, production time, and years of experience.
Can you purchase a pre-made mum from a grocery store or floral shop for less? Absolutely. And there is nothing wrong with choosing the option that best fits your needs and budget.
But pre-made and custom-made are not comparable products, so comparing their prices doesn’t tell the whole story.
I don’t strive to be the least expensive option. I strive to offer exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, beautiful details, and a finished piece worthy of the occasion it represents.
Because around here, it’s more than a mum… it’s a memory. 🤍
