No school for MEA break, and the “I’m bored” has already started. 🙋‍♀️

Here’s a quieter idea: sit down at the kitchen table with a paintbrush and a few little wood pieces. No screens, no charging cords, just a happy mess and something to show off when it’s dry.

Our Painted Project Club kits come with everything you need: wood pieces to paint, 6 paint pots, and a brush. This month it’s Ghost Cuties and Turkey Friends, and you can choose plain paintable pieces or magnetic ones for the fridge. They also make an easy little gift for the kid who has everything.

When you're a small business owner, sometimes you have to take advantage of a good photo opportunity! 🍂📸

I spent the day networking, but knowing I'd be seeing a friend, I figured I'd sneak in a little product photography during one of our breaks!

A beautiful fall day, a friend willing to snap a few pictures, and one of my latest Cedar Roots projects in hand. Sometimes that's all you need! ❤️

One thing I've learned about running a small business is that you wear a whole lot of hats, and sometimes you just have to make the most of the opportunities in front of you.

And let's be real... getting a picture of yourself WITH your work doesn't happen nearly often enough! 😂

🎣 Well, that's a first for Cedar Roots! 😂
Sometimes you just never know what the day is going to throw at you… or what random household item you're going to need to get the job done!
Today brought a first for me. Something I've had WAY too many mini panic attacks about happening, and today was finally the day. 🤦‍♀️
Thankfully, my husband loves to fish, because his ice fishing rod came to the rescue in the Cedar Roots workshop today! 🎣🤣
I can confidently say this was NOT on my to-do list this morning!
