The act of painting has held me through thick and thin and, I can’t express gratitude enough for the support over the years as I’ve brought my intuition, creativity and colors to life.

This art is magic
It is intentional
It is a healer & a hug
Brings fresh energy
And reset the vibe

The one lesson I learned this year: my work isn’t for everyone.

If you don’t love color, bold vibrancy, and a female artist willing to take risks, I’m probably not your artist.

And I’ve learned to be okay with that.

I jumped into my art career in 2020 with very little saved. I sold my car. I stressed about how I was going to pay rent. I had absolutely no idea if this thing was going to work.

Turns out, when you make quality work that holds depth, and you keep showing up, the right people show up, too.

Today marks six years of owning this small business, and it’s wild to think about everything I’ve experienced in this industry. Quite honestly, this career has challenged me to my core.

And yet, I cannot shake the need to create.

I’m in this for the long haul, even if I lose my mind a few times a year 🤣 because there is nothing quite like divinely creating something in the studio and then walking into a client’s home and seeing it living there.

As I’ve grown in my career, I’ve also become more aware of how much of the fine art world is still shaped by old expectations. Commercial projects, galleries, and fine art spaces can still be heavily male-dominated. I’ve watched men confidently name their price while women are more often expected to accommodate, compromise, or make themselves smaller.

I don’t want to make myself smaller.

I want to make bold work.
I want to charge what that work is worth.
I want to take risks.
I want to build a career with longevity.
And I want other female creatives watching to know that they can do the same.

My commitment is to keep making work that holds value, breathes life into the spaces it enters, and feels unmistakably like mine.

Thank you to every person who has collected my work, shared it, encouraged me, commissioned something meaningful, or simply believed that there was room in this industry for what I wanted to create.

Six years in. Still here. Still creating. And definitely not for everyone.

Much love,
Kristine Cooper

1. Find a movement practice that works for you!

2. Nourishing Meals is my favorite for tips and recipes on creating wholesome meals

3. Buy art that’s fully embodied and alive. Art that sparks something in you. That art will have a return on investment, because each time you look at it your vibe will change.

A new work fresh out of the studio! “Juniper Jungle” is a three piece series focused on the twisty, wild nature of Juniper Trees. I designed and hand painted these chromatic panels with varying colors to really show how the junipers evolve in how they appear based on what time of day you look at them. Each panel is listed individually at $2,000 framed, wired on the back for easy hanging and signed. Send over a DM if you’d like to snag one! 💗

Imagine this. You wake up one mid August morning at 4am to it being dark and cool, and you quickly make coffee and eat some trail mix as you hop into the car driving up the Cascade Lakes Highway to the trailhead. As you hike, you can feel your senses come alive with your feet hitting the trail one in front of the other and the sunrise slowly coming alive. This painting is titled “Sunrise Sister” inspired by my hike up this mountain a few years ago. It feels mystical, glowy and puts you right on the trail. Painting measures 36x48 inches in a black float frame. DM for more details!

New original: “Boombox” Playful, bright and full of iridescence. This work is like a song. It’s lyrical and feels full of life. If you haven’t heard of the band “Boombox” I recommend putting them on as this canvas feels like that music! Painting measures 36x48 inches placed in a deep walnut wood frame. I also wired this beauty to have the option of hanging vertically or horizontally! 💗 DM for more details if she calls you!
