I hope you enjoy! Look for the combinations of each piece below.

Combination 1: on Laguna Bmix 5 clay, amaco Jade x3 all over, 2x swirling band of Amaco Seaweed, and Amaco Ancient Jasper.

Combination 2: on KY Mudworks Speckled Turtle, x3 Amaco Honey Flux with x2 Mayco Winterwood top 1/2

Combination 3: on KY Mudworks Speckled Turtle, x3 Amaco Honey Flux x1 Mayco Copper float all over and x1 Copper Float on just the top 1/3

Combination 4: Katie B Ceramics Template combination on Laguna Bmix 5, top and bottom, x3 Amaco Cobalt Celadon, middle slightly overlapping x3 Amaco Indigo Float amd top thin line between cobalt amd indigo float x3 Amaco Honey Flux.

Combinations 5, 6 and 7 all on Laguna bmix 5

5 Spectrum Pearl White x3 x2 on grater only. X2 Mayco Winterwood

6 Mayco x2 Ivy

7 Amaco Indigo float x3 x2 in grater only and x2 coats of cobalt around the rim only.

These lovely ladies are sold and going home.

Yesterday's kiln opening just blew my mind. I got to thinking yesterday that potters have talked about what their favorite part of the process is... Whether it's throwing hand building, carving, cleaning (which I can't even imagine that would be your favorite thing)...or glazing.

The entire part of the process that is my favorite is seeing, all of my imagination and hard work coming out of the kiln and looking as beautiful as these pieces did. It doesn't always happen. Sometimes I get pieces that are just okay. And that's more disappointing than the ones that simply do not come out at all. My favorite is the dopamine hit I get from taking my work out of the kiln and falling in love with it.

So I had a situation in the studio today where I did a little bit of overdesigning on one of my new pieces...

I can never ever let that happen... So I took it, and I put it on my wheel, and I trimmed it down until all that overdesigning was gone. And now I feel like, alright, things are good. How many times has this happened to you?

Have you ever redone a piece so that it's too you're liking and what you envisioned it to be?

For me, sometimes it's the details that go into everything that I make.

It's really can be very challenging for me. Because I always have these creative visions that come in, that tell me what I should be doing. When what I really want to be doing is not that.

But in this case, these candles are perfect. And I don't have to make them!

It was another day of what I like to think of as boring production. As a small batch potter, it's kind of difficult for me to sit down and make one thing the entire day. But the last two days i've managed to do it!

So tomorrow is attaching all of these handles to all of these mugs. I'm gonna put a thumb holder in all of them... And do my best to make more eight ounce tumblers that I know y'all like!

Then, I can get back to just making fun things :)

I think the worst part for me is once all of these are bisque fired, i'm gonna have to glaze them... Which means hours and hours of brushing on commercial glaze for me, since I don't really make my own glazes, and I don't trust dipping. And I do it all for you. Lol :)

So you guys, I have a terrible time keeping myself to a schedule each day. Every time I think i'm going to keep my schedule something comes up and I end up doing something different. Well, I decided to download an app that I think works really well. Surprisingly enough, I was even able to get a walk in today, which never happens. I felt very accomplished by the end of the day. Now I'm not gonna say every day is a big production day. And i'm gonna be super like zoned in like I was today. But this app really helped.

I think the main thing that was the most helpful was the fact that it spoke out loud when notifications were coming through to let me know. "It's time for this now. It's time for rest. It's time for stretching. It's time for water." I drink more water today than I normally do.

So I wanted to share this with you in case you are also a person that has a difficult time with keeping to a schedule.

It is a wheel throwing day here in my studio, and today I am making a bunch of garlic grater dishes.

Everyone has a slightly different way of making them, and I want to just show you how I personally make them using a few tools including a chopstick that I use to create the grater part in the dish.

I make the entirely finished piece at once so that tomorrow, when they're ready to come off their bat, all they need is a little bit of smoothing on the bottom along with my stamp.

Good morning! The holiday season is fast approaching and I am making holiday tree luminaries for an upcoming pop up. I thought it would be fun to show you how I make them.

If you don't already follow me, you may want to because I am going to be posting a glazing video later how I personally finish this rustic tree.

The clay I am using is Laguna Speckled Tan. Laguna clays to me are the best to throw with because they hold up well to multiple pulls and refining.
