Finished the latest bee rug. Etsy is being glitchy and won’t let me publish my listing for this. Private message is you’re interested before listing goes up. I should be able to update it with my desktop when I return home.

Bees are a popular theme, with many requests for themed pieces. Happy to add this one to my collection in green and yellow. 33”x 45”. The hooked (punch needle) section is commercially made, 100% wool. The braiding technique is double-double, with two strands the same color and one different.

I’ve taken some time off from braiding while I travel to and sell at the country’s largest Irish festivals in the month of August in Dublin, Ohio and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. These are annual events for my other business, Shamrock Chic. But it feels good to be back in my new room again tonight, starting a new project, this bee themed rug. I am using the double-double technique (2-right, 2-left instead of 1-right, 1-left). I am very low on stock for my Ann Arbor October show. I hope to get back in swing now through then! Here I am hiking today with my sister.

This small drawer dresser was a marketplace find, with silver/copper/gold metallic painted drawer fronts and dated drawer pulls. Painting the fronts to teal was fairly easy, but not having the ability to sand off the old finish made me farm out the project. So happy with the result. It holds many sewing and braiding supplies! On top, 2 Gardenway spinner utensil racks, holding more supplies. 💜
