Good morning! Can you believe it’s October already? The fall colors are glowing, and we’re still enjoying warm sunshine — just like this beautifully refreshed family room basking in the autumn light.

The original upholstery pieces were just right in size and style, so we gave them new life with luxurious chenille fabrics. We also added custom lighting, a bespoke rug, and thoughtful touches to complete the space — every detail tailored specifically to this home.

I can hardly believe it’s been nearly a decade since I designed that glamorous powder room for the 2016 DC Design House benefiting Children’s National Medical Center. ✨ It all began with the captivating drama of the “Russian Sconces” from Niermann Weeks—a spark that set the entire vision into motion.
Think: elegance, allure, and enchantment, with just a touch of animal magnetism—all perfectly wrapped into a jewel box of a space.

We’ve created a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere in this family room by thoughtfully layering colors and textures. Accessorizing is key—here, we placed soft blue, purple, and green hydrangeas in a simple glass cylinder vase. This subtle floral arrangement pulls out and enhances the hues from the artwork, tying the space together beautifully.
