Honored to have been selected as a designer for the 2026 SOTA Show House, I had the pleasure of transforming the primary dressing room into a space layered in timeless detail and quiet luxury.
This room was envisioned as a refined retreat, where function meets elegance. Faux grasscloth wallcovering brings depth and texture, while custom floral drapery adorned with tassel trim softens the space. A cornice board with contrast cording frames the windows, adding a tailored architectural element.
At the heart of the room, a richly carved mahogany desk with ball & claw feet serves as both a makeup vanity and workspace, paired with a skirted gingham print chair for a subtle nod to classic charm. The vanity is flanked by sconces, adding both symmetry and a flattering secondary source of light. Above, delicate hand-painted porcelain plates featuring animal motifs introduce a collected, heirloom quality.
Cabinetry was elevated with high-gloss inky blue paint, accented by wooden appliqués and gold hardware with tassel trim, bringing richness to the space.
Every layer was thoughtfully curated to reflect the history of the home while introducing a fresh, current perspective. A dressing room designed not just for beauty but for living beautifully.
More details to come on all the finishes & incredible partners that helped bring this vision to life!
