🌿 **SUNDAY CONNECTION — ROOTED THROUGH CHANGE** 🌿
A few days ago, someone came to purchase a few plants from me.
She picked out a lime sweet potato vine and some beautiful Lucifer plants. She also had her eye on the Mexican petunias, but after looking at everything, she quietly mentioned that her budget was a little tight right now.
So I gave her two. 💛
But somewhere between talking about plants, gardening, and life, our conversation became about something much bigger.
She shared that she had recently gone through a major change in her life. Life looks different for her now. Her budget is different. Her responsibilities are different.
But something else is different, too.
**She is happier.**
She has discovered gardening, and in it she has found a place to reset. A place to think. A place to be still. A place to reflect on where she has been, how she got here, and where she wants to go next.
As she spoke, I couldn't help but think:
**This is Connections by Dee.** 🧩🌿
Life reminds me so much of a plant.
When the winds come, the plant gets pushed one way and then another. Sometimes the wind is so strong that you wonder how it can possibly remain standing.
But underneath the soil, where no one can see, something important is happening.
**The roots are holding on.**
They are becoming established.
They are growing deeper.
They are becoming stronger.
And eventually, the season changes.
Spring comes.
Summer comes.
And that same plant that fought through the wind gets its opportunity to **bloom.** 🌸
Sometimes our lives are like that.
There are seasons of trial.
There are seasons when all we can do is hold on and allow our roots to grow deeper.
And then there are seasons of breakthrough.
Seasons when we discover new joy.
New adventures.
New pieces of ourselves.
Maybe even something as simple as putting our hands in the soil and watching something grow. 🌱
Her story reminded me why I chose the name **Connections by Dee.**
Because whether it's a puzzle piece, a plant, a piece of jewelry, or simply a conversation between two people, there is always a connection.
Our difficult chapters don't have to be the end of our story.
Sometimes they're the season that grows the roots strong enough to support what comes next.

Grow through the change.
