One tablespoon may seem small, but it tells you a lot.

Olive oil is 100% fat, and that’s not a bad thing. Choosing extra virgin olive oil means less processing and more of olive oil’s natural qualities.

There are different types of fat: monounsaturated (the majority in olive oil) supports heart health, polyunsaturated includes essential fats your body needs, and saturated is present in smaller amounts. Seeing this on the label helps you understand quality, not just calories.

Healthy fats play such an important role in balanced eating when enjoyed in appropriate portions.
