New sign project in the works in my not so new shop that's taken forever to get to a functional state. Going to be a 10ft relief carving with some fire treatment (shoalsugibon) style finish and a special image in the middle for my friend's farm.

Hey everybody long time no share. Life's been a bit challenging since my last post, but I'm finally gaining some traction and getting some really awesome opportunities to flex my skills here in the Charlottesville Virginia area. This project is with my buddy Fenton Fadeley who's been working on this old school house for over 2 years consecutively.

This particular collection of photos Is Us making a nice locking miter column for the newel post. I did a custom stain color that I think turned out pretty good. Had to get creative adjusting the angles on the handrail, but it turned out great.

Much gratitude to Kevin and Cindy Laughery for the opportunity to collaborate with my homie and bring new life to this old space!

Decided to do a quick video showing how working by yourself requires knowing how to create some extra hands n supoorts to make the job easier wherever possible. All yhe times I heard "SMARTER NOT HARDER" growing up in the trades finally is paying off. 😏

This was one of my favorite pieces I ever did for myself, then ended up giving it to a friend I hopd a deep respect for.
