Its still in great shape other than a small imperfection on the left side of the dresser. It's super cute and he loved the design but was wanting something bigger!

Everytime I purchase a cowhide I always add goat hides to my order because they are good for smaller reupholstery! I've had these two chairs for a little bit now and knew they would be the perfect fit for these chairs and boy was I right! 😍 These turned out super cute!!

Cowhide and Leather Office Chairs

I finally did my first upholstered cowhide project since tanning our own hides from our local family farm! This was months in the making but was absolutely worth all the work!
In February my parents butchered a few cows and I asked for the hides to tan them and use on future furniture projects. My dad laughed and thought I couldn't handle the task! He claimed it would be too much work and it would turn into a disaster! So clearly I had to prove a point right?!🤣 I did the first one and decided to keep it and use it in my living room! The second one I felt confident I could make this work and use it on some furniture! And since then I have done a total of 5 cowhides and 1 longhorn! Will I continue to do this? Probably not. I may just do it when my family butchers from now on. But it was nice learning a new trade and I reminded my dad who he raised and to never doubt me! 🤣💪

This week I had the opportunity to help out our local Associated Charities in reupholstering their built in bench! This was probably one of the hardest jobs I've had to date. No pattern to go off of just straight winging it! A few upholsterers had tried and become overwhelmed and given up on this project because of the curve. I was glad I was able to see it to completion and help them with their difficulty finding someone! All of the ladies that work in there are absolute rockstars and the sweetest! I'm glad I was able to get this done for them!

It's been some time now since I've posted about it but I do reupholster all types of commerical seating. This includes chiropractic tables, medical tables, along with most commerical seating!

Oh my goodness y'all! These are hands down my favorite pieces to date! I'm in absolute awww!!! The way that the cowhide compliments the Pendelton 😍! I had a few hurdles to jump with these firstly I've never touched square nails before and trying to nail them in straight to satisfy my OCD was difficult! But I honestly think I prefer them! Secondly, I always try to get my customers the most bang for their buck while also making sure that each pattern is perfectly placed so that it draws the eye in. But with these I ran out of cowhide while working on the dining chairs backs. So I decided to sew in a mix of Pendelton and cowhide instead of ordering another huge hide for a few hundred dollars just for a few pieces and save my customer some money! And you know what? Thats the best decision I could have made because look at the statement it makes on the captain chairs?!? Absolutely stunning! And the peekaboo cowhide on the accent chairs sides? Are you kidding me?!?! Oh I'm just in love with these!! Before pictures at the end.

I finally completed my first cowhide from our local family farm! It took me a little bit of trial and error to get it fully broken and get all the stiffness out. But thats to be expected since this was my first one! I planned to use the cowhide for upholstery but seeing it in my living room is making me question my decisions! The cowhide with the leopard carpet??? Are you kidding me! Its goregous!!😍😍 I do have two more hides in pickling but they won't be nearly as hairy as this beautiful plush winter hide! I'm so glad that I sought this out and learned a new trade! 💪
