This weekend I cooked bamboo shoots over an open fire at 's "Woodswoman 101" course.

I also set up a "Bamboo Education Station" and taught four new women how to make a broom from a cane of bamboo and its branches.

The tops of a new Boryana shoot are absolutely gorgeous. This species was used as a model for our logo!

I will be giving a bamboo broom making demonstration at this event alongside many talented artists from in and around Spartanburg County.

I'll also have bamboo oddities and crafts, which I'll talk to you for hours about. My booth will be a place to touch and feel and learn about bamboo.

My demonstration will take place at 3:00 PM. 🙂
