Hey everybody! Meet Sting!🐝 I'm so glad to be back with more silly cat shenanigans.😹

As many of you know, we lost our dear sweet Dallas on February 5th of this year. What you may not know is that in mid-November of last year, my black Diamond ran away and has not returned, and around Christmas last December, my princess Page did the same. Losing three cats that meant so much to me in less than three months absolutely broke me, and my husband took it pretty hard as well - especially our Dally-boy's passing after we spent 15 gruelling hours with him, not leaving his side as he suffered with us as we did our best to comfort him.💔

But the cycle of life continues, and we have been so blessed to have acquired our new little cat boy child.🐈 His "Gotcha Day" was March 23rd, and Matt and I have spent the last month getting him settled into his new loving home, where we hope to make many new memories with him as we honor the ones we have lost.
•
So meet Sting, AKA Little Stinger! (And yes, just like Diamond, Dallas, and Page, he is named after the great American Professional wrestler, Steve Borden, better known as Sting, or Stinger. (NWO Wolfpac for Life.🤘🏻) He is a beautiful, sweet, smart, bright little boy!

Big thanks to my sister-in-law, Rachel Davis for helping us find Joanna Ramey, who so graciously gifted us with this special feline!

Sting, thank you for inspiring both my husband and I so much throughout our childhood and into our adult lives that we named our cat after you! You are our favorite wrestler, always have been.💪🏻

I just want everyone who has followed me on my BryteDesigns journey to know that I will be back! I have simply taken a very long (but much needed) hiatus to deal with life and its proverbial curveballs. Between moving (twice), getting my home and creative space set up, and becoming a "meow-ma" to three adorable kittens, I have had a lot on my plate. But details to come soon, I'm getting back in the creative swing, so stay tuned!

ᴄᴀᴛ ғᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ sᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ (sᴡɪᴘᴇ⏩ғᴏʀ ᴄᴜᴛᴇɴᴇss ᴏᴠᴇʀʟᴏᴀᴅ)
I have been absent on social media lately, but I've had a busy year filled with good times and bad. Between dealing with personal issues, moving last summer, and making me and my husband's house a home, I haven't had the bandwidth for my beloved creative projects.

That was until I unexpectedly became a "cat mom." I woke up one day last October and saw three kittens wrestling and playing in the yard. My husband called them "cute and tumble," I followed with "ready to rumble," and thus I aptly named them Diamond, Dallas, & Page. They put the "Diamond Cutter" on my heart, and slayed me with their cuteness.💎🔪

Diamond Dallas Page has been an inspiration to me for three decades. From his professional wrestling career and the obstacles he overcame to become one of the GOATs, to his passion for rehabilitating and changing the lives of so many others through his work with DDPYoga, there aren't too many people I look up to more than him as a motivational personality.

I started my babies' feeding station with very little carpentry experience, limited tools at my disposal, and a vision. Turns out, I'm not too shabby with my wood working skills! I made it out of an old wooden crate that was on its last leg, old screws and brackets I gathered from random furniture we had to throw out, and hand-me-down exterior & acrylic paints. The painting part was my favorite of course, and I painted "Est. 2024 by Cali & Co." because their biological mom is a calico cat named Cali.🧡

I never thought I would be a "cat person," but my three children have brought me so much overwhelming love and joy over the past six months. The four of us have formed a bond so special that I can't imagine not having them in my life. I love you, D, D, & P!😻

My beautifully made, exceptionally intelligent, gift from God. The only one who came equipped and prepared to mend my heart, restore my faith, and remind me of my light.

I love this woman with everything that I am. I have sworn to be her shield when she needs protection, and her sword if she needs projection. I love you Meagan Brytewater Davis, until the light takes us and beyond.

Me and my Daddy, Chris Hodges, AKA Slim AKA Slimboy. He has loved me through my best times, as well as in my darkest hours. We've also went our rounds, but he's always forgiven me no matter what I've done. He's one hell of a man who loves his family, and has made sure that both me and my 15 year old "baby" brother have had all the tools and knowledge that we need to succeed in life. Unfortunately, I haven't been putting those tools into practice for quite some time now, but I realize that deep down, he knows I have it in me to be the most successful, highest version of myself. I want to make him proud.

Apparently he is also where I got alot of my creative talent from. So be sure to check out the second photo showing off a killer necklace he made and gave to me! Wearing it makes me feel like a badass viking warrior haha. I love you Daddy. And I thank you for your shared wisdom, your incredibly odd sense of humor that absolutely slays me every time, and for never giving up on me no matter how far down I fall.

This year has been one heck of a ride to say the least, and I'm sooooo ready for a fresh start in 2024.🙌🏻 I'll be capping off 2023 by doing my best to get my s*it together. I've got a long way to go in that department haha, but I'm grateful to have the opportunity to do so.

Here is our fourth completed project by HྂuྂeྂMྂeྂgྂaྂ!🤘🏻 I'm REALLY proud of this one. I wanted to stay as true to the original song as possible because it's so special to me. Since we do not own the vast array of pedals and effects that Tom Morello (guitar player) uses, I had to create the tremelo, delay, and whammy effects in Bandlab for the rhythm and lead guitars in order to somewhat mimic the guitar sounds in the original. But I did my best and learned alot in the process. Some may say it's ballsy to cover Chris Cornell vocals, but at least I have passion.😅 I'll never forget the day that he passed in 2017. May he be singing in heaven like the angel he was on Earth.

This is the second completed project by HྂuྂeྂMྂeྂgྂaྂ!🤘🏻 Well, this one is just me guys. I think my husband may be hesitant to put his name in the credits on this one due to my rusty instrumentation (lol Matty). This is basically a solo project done as a way for me to brush up on my guitar playing, and learn the ins and outs of recording myself. Which by the way takes a ton of courage, hard work, and dedication. Wink wink.😉😉

Since I didn't really celebrate Halloween this year, here's my belated "Happy Halloween" post. Throwback to spookie season 2014 when my husband Matt and I got to hold Dawn the snake, a beautiful albino Burmese python that has since been deceased. (RIP Dawn). These photos were taken at Woods of Terror in Greensboro, NC, and it's owner, Eddie McLauren is so humble and cool. Thanks for sharing this beautiful animal with so many, as she touched the hearts of so many.💛

Hello friends and family!

I just wanted to let you all know that my phone is currently out of commission (don't ask, ha), which is how I take all of my photos of my products, list them in my Etsy shop, and post them to social media. I'm not for certain how long it will be before I can acquire a new phone with a decent enough camera to be able to continue, but rest assured when I do, I'll be back.
