Can you guess how long this pattern took me to design? 🐇
If you guessed 2.5 hours, you would be right 😅

Starting a new project with a completely new design is no joke. Thankfully I have some great instructors at the studio (thanks Jim & Deb for the help)!!! 🫶

Progress on this one 🧡🌿

Whale hi there! 🐋
I’m officially back after taking a break during the holidays! 🎉
Starting off the new year of stained glass with revisiting an old design. I am so excited to say that I’ve been doing this hobby for nearly 2 years! There are sooo many more things to learn, design and create!
One small goal of mine is to try to make a lampshade this year. I have no idea when that project will start or if it will happen but I’ll just say it’s on my “Stained Glass Pending Project List ” for now 😝

Last step is polishing & a patina treatment! Can’t wait to show the results! 🦩

Before grinding vs after ✨

This year with stained glass I’ve learned the importance of cutting glass. Cutting outside of the line instead of on or on the inside can make the process of grinding so much longer. After lots of patience on the grinder (I mean close to 2 hours 😅) this little flamingo is ready to be foiled! Total time spent on this project so far: 6 hours 🤪

We’re on the home stretch now! 🦩🪷

All I can say is thank you 💕

Yesterday it was so nice to see friends, family, coworkers, former classmates & teachers, and people I never met support me at the craft fair. I feel like I owe everyone a huge thank you for purchasing any ornaments from me. It was my first time putting myself in a craft fair and it definitely won’t be my last! The only things I had left at the end of the day were my butterfly pieces I had made this past summer. I am so so so happy with the outcome and appreciate all of the kind words said yesterday to me. ❤️

My view for the last 4 hours. T-minus 5 days until I need to be done with my pieces for the craft fair on Saturday. In all honesty, I didn’t do great in school because I am a procrastinator. The truth is, I work best when I have little time to get things done. 😅

After work, I got home right away to come home and finish these. I was dreading all of the work I had to do (and still have to do) but tonight was the reset I needed. I forget how lost you can get enjoying a craft. It doesn’t have to perfect always but the time you spent enjoying something you want to do is worth it! For me- I needed this tonight. It helps watching a movie to make soldering time go by faster. My movie of choice tonight was Julie & Julia which was incredibly charming. ❤️

Anyhow, I can’t wait to see everyone at the craft fair on Saturday! Check out some snowflakes I’ll have available ❄️
