We’ll be offering 10% off Leuchtturm journals for the crawl next weekend! Here are some photos of mine (with our cute new stickers on the cover). I’ve been using it as a project tracker all year, in the same place as all my shop notes. The paper is also great for doodling, making charts, and of course, journaling!

Do you keep a written project journal? This is my first year doing so, and it’s been such a fun and rewarding practice (plus I don’t feel guilty about not taking nice photos for Ravelry).

It’s a big month for Acorn! In addition to a first year crawl, we are hosting clear craft night, two new classes, at our first Sunday class! Now is also a really great time to visit the shop because strange, spooky, inspired friends are infesting our decor every single day. If you’re looking for a rainy day activity this month, come to the shop and try and see how many spiders you can find.

It’s back to school in time for new beginnings! If you know some students please encourage them to join our greeting card competition! We have posters you can put in schools too!

This week we have noticed so many people coming in ready to mend their clothes for fall, and many doing so for the first time! We have all the notions you need to get started, including this super cute travel kit, embroidery thread, and visible mending stitch guides by the wonderful Approved Textiles—a Philly based independent business that you must follow if you’re interested in such things.

If you don’t know where to get started, join us next week for intro to embroidery! We have just a few seats left. Keep an eye out for mending specific classes in the following months as well!
