When should you order your guestbook?
6 months before your wedding day.
This gives me time to order and prep all the materials well in advance of your big day. We want everything to go as smooth as possible so that means allowing enough time for all the moving parts to make their moves.

How do I clean my quilt?
If machine washing, use a gentle cycle with cold water. Use mild detergent, and avoid fabric softeners. If you’re concerned about dyes then throw in a couple color catchers. .
After washing, the preferred drying method is air drying. Dry the quilt flat or hang it over a clothesline, ensuring it’s fully dry to prevent mold or mildew. If you want you can use a dryer on low heat with a few clean tennis balls to fluff the quilt gently.
Don’t wash it more often than necessary. Think of it like your hair, if you wash it too frequently it’ll cause damage.

How long have you been doing this?
I’ve been sewing since I was a kid (20+ years). And I have been quilting for more than 10 years.
I’ve been operating my business for almost 5 years! 😱 It does not feel like it’s been that long already! Time flies when you’re having fun!

How long does it take to make a quilt?
The short answer: it varies. If the design is simpler or the quilt is smaller it will take less time
I have been known to complete a smaller/easier quilt in as few as 12 hours.
However! I generally give myself a turnaround time of 4-5 weeks.
This buffer allows time for other things to pop-up (because it never fails haha), plus I need to manage my business and work with my other clients. Also, I do have a day job 😅

Why do I make the quilt AFTER everyone signs the fabric?
Because people make mistakes.
If I give you a completed quilt for everyone to sign, then someone messes up, scribbles or writes something inappropriate, then it is on that quilt forever.
But if I only provide pieces of fabric and there’s a mistake or something you don’t want included then we can just throw that square out. And it doesn’t ruin the whole quilt.

How to store your quilt:
To keep your quilt in top condition, always store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a breathable cotton storage bag or wrap it in acid-free tissue paper to protect the fabric from dust and moisture. Avoid hanging it for prolonged periods of time (3-6 months), as this can stretch the fibers. If folding it, try to change the fold regularly to prevent creases from setting. Never store your quilt in plastic, as it can trap moisture and lead to mold. Proper care ensures your quilt stays beautiful for years to come
