I’ve wanted to build this nightstand for too long. It will be a simple modern design that lets the grain steal the show. I will share more as I go. I have a few projects going right now.

With these information boards, one of the biggest challenges was creating a design that lets them easily swap out information cards while keeping everything looking clean and intentional. Finding a way to remove the boards when needed, frame them out nicely, keep it within a certain thickness while keeping all fastening hardware out of sight was a fun challenge. There were a lot of little details to solve in the design phase but that’s what makes custom work fun.

There’s something satisfying about getting to this stage, when all the planning, sketches, and revisions finally come together and every part fits just the way you hoped. I can’t wait to show the final reveal with the bigger frames included! Really proud of how these turned out, and grateful for the opportunity to build them.

This was one of those moments that feels small at first, until you realize just how long you’ve been working towards it.

The Zolo medallions are finally here.

Over the next month, these will be permanently inset into furniture and fixtures for commercial clients, and maybe even a few residential pieces. Each one designed, built, and finished in my shop.

With this I am very grateful for every opportunity, every client, and every project that keeps this dream moving forward.

Here’s to the next chapter. Thank you to all of the new clients and friends I’ve made this summer. I’m more excited than ever for the future of Zolo Creations. And thank you to Medallion Maker Branding for making this moment happen. It might not mean much to most but my journey to this point, as for most, has been one of blood, sweat, and tears, but more importantly, a mentality of never giving up. I know hard times will always come back around but when you have a moment like this, you stop and enjoy it and remember where you were and how far you’ve come. A moment ”Worth Slowing Down For” which is what I’ve built my business for.

Help needed in Caddo, Ok.

With summer approaching, I’m excited to announce a summer shop hand position available for Choctaw youth, through the Choctaw 477 Program! This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a creative woodworking shop that makes both commercial bulk order items, as well as commercial and residential furniture and decor. As a shop hand, you’ll assist with various tasks—keeping the workspace organized, prepping materials, sanding, and learning to run various machinery such as CNCs and Laser Engravers. With that said, safety is a top priority for me. No table saws or dangerous equipment will be involved, so parents can rest easy. All PPE will be provided.

For me, hiring my first employee through this program is especially meaningful, as I got my first job through the Choctaw Youth Program years ago, and I want to help the next generation grow. After the program, I’m looking to offer the right person a part-time or full-time role in my shop—so if you’re hardworking, reliable, and ready to grow, I want to hear from you. My shop is located just outside of Caddo Oklahoma for any youth in the area looking to apply.
