Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over it, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll into a log and slice into thick rounds.

Place dough rounds over the caramel topping in the baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), then bake for 30–35 minutes until golden.

Invert onto a serving plate while warm so the caramel drips over the bun. Slice and enjoy!
