I was blessed to be able to refinish and restore another piece from this historical collection. A few months ago I refinished a dresser from the historic Widdicomb Furniture Company, founded in 1858 in Grand Rapids Michigan. What began as as a cabinet business, evolved into one of the most famous designer and producer of high end, high quality furniture. Especially know for their traditional and mid-century modern pieces. The quality of construction and materials used for this piece are apparent. It is a very heavy and solid wood piece. It just needed a little facelift and a nod to its mid century modern roots by giving it a two toned finish with a gorgeous green body and white oak trim. The green was voted the best color for “creating a cozy, sophisticated space” by Sherwin Williams- Pewter Green. The wood inlay has been finished with a gold leaf to tie in the gold handles. This pieces is gorgeous and made to last for generations to come.

This gorgeous dresser belonged to my client’s grandmother and has been in the family for many years. She wanted to give it an updated look with a more modern feel while still keeping it timeless. Body is painted in a gorgeous beige with natural stained stop and base. Gold trim accents the piece and ties the new handware together beautifully. This piece can now be enjoyed for many years to come!

It’s not very often I get to refinish one of these gorgeous secretary desks. This one has been in my clients family for close to 100 years and unfortunately had some extensive damage from one of its moves. I was able to repair and refinish to this gorgeous black with a natural wood bottom trim and claw feet. Original hardware accents the black perfectly. It such a versatile piece that can continue to be enjoyed by their family for many years to come!

When I got this nightstand I envisioned refinishing it to something feminine and elegant to enhance its soft curves and shape. I decided to try something new and add the embossed 3d floral design to the drawers and sides of the pieces then painted it in a neutral warm grey. Champagne k***s finish of the piece.

This adorable piece came to me from a local resident who brought it to Colorado from her mother’s home in the Midwest. I loved the vintage feel and character the piece offered with its curves and spindle legs.

Painted the body in a dark grey leaving the base and legs in their natural wood stain. Added beautiful floral wallpaper to the back panel to bring the greys and warm wood tones together.

This piece has lots of versatility and would bring character and warmth to any space.

Restored and refinished Ethan Allen dresser made from solid Maple. Sanded down to the natural wood then stained in a toasted oak with whitewash finish to allow the beautiful grains to show through. Dove tailed drawers lined in floral paper. I added new black hardware and legs to bring this dated piece back to life with a modern look.
