In late summer of 1979, my husband Rick’s friend decided to tear down an old barn on his family’s property. When Rick asked what would become of all the weathered barn wood, his friend invited him to a large bonfire. Rick’s dad immediately bought him a second hand table saw and he figured out how to make picture frames. He borrowed an old van and turned every salvageable inch of the old barn into

frames he sold at a flea market. The bonfire was canceled and thus began his long love affair with trees and the wood that they provided. Now here we are, 34 years and many, many custom frame orders later. We offer art consultation services, graphic design services, photo restorations, awards and plaques, sport jersey framing, custom mirrors, and corporate discounts. We follow PPFA picture framing guidelines and are preservation minded and experts in all aspects of custom picture framing.

Hello dear fans of this shop. I sure miss all of you. We tried to find a new location, but could not find anything that suited our needs at the time. It has been an interesting few years since we closed. Rick is now the manager of a shop next to Ohio Lamp & Fixture called Framed Space. He's brought with him at least 35 years of custom framing experience. Check him out if you need something framed or just stop in and say hi. I'm sure he'd love to see you.

A lady brought in a small framed Norman Rockwell print of a soldier's return home to have repaired. I worked on it while she waited and she told me she bought it to remind her of her son's return from the Vietnam War. He was poisoned by Agent Orange and has had ongoing health problems ever since his return. The print had been in her closet for quite awhile and I told her today was Vietnam Veteran's Day. We were amazed at the irony and she couldn't wait to call him and hang it on her wall. Thank you for those who served and sacrificed so much.

It's official. We are having a moving sale.

This is Tom. He is 88 years old and just sold the home where he raised his family. He needed our help with a gift for the young couple that bought his house. I took on the responsibility of obtaining the photograph and printing of what he wanted to say to keep him from running all over town in the cold and snow. A framer friend suggested we get another copy of the photo to gift to him, so after spending a dollar on the photo and a few scraps of frame moulding and glass, I gifted him the little picture. I will never forget his delighted reaction. Tom and customers like him make what we do worthwhile.
