Dianthus, wild strawberries and soft oregano stems create this spring blossom in a tulip bulb arrangement for this weekend’s guests. It’s cool a rainy outside but this beauty brightens our kitchen. Don’t let the weather keep you from enjoying a few spring flowers.

I'm impressed with my zinnias - they're the most robust of all my zinnia plantings. To maximize my yield, I'm propagating half of them. Want to give it a try? I use a blend and rooting substance. I cut just above the second set of leaves, keep the soil consistently moist and the atmosphere warm. I've found that my rooted cuttings are actually stronger than the originals started from seeds. Give it a shot and see for yourself!

New blooms are always a treat. Our newly planted columbine are doing well, and strawberry blossoms are in full bloom . This week's guests will enjoy arrangements featuring a mix of lilac, daffodils, strawberry blossoms, and late-blooming mini hyacinths. Looking forward to next week's new blooms.

As April's blooms fade, new ones emerge, creating a seasonal arrangement using only flowers. This arrangement showcases my last daffodils & hellebores along with emerging columbine, lilac, and bachelor buttons. Don't blink or you'll miss them.

You can take a woman out of her garden but you can’t take the garden out of her. Taking in the blooms on a cool, wet, windy morning on a short trip to Manhattan. Beautiful flowers make the city traffic and raindrops disappear.

April showers are setting the stage for a blooming May, just in time for Geauga Fresh Farmer's Market starting May 9th and my May 17th workshop at . Every sunny break means a rush to the flower farm to plant more. This week, I've added snapdragons, strawflowers, scabiosa, and dahlias to the fields. The anemones and ranunculus from March are thriving in their new raised beds. Today, I'm starting seeds for cosmos, zinnia, and celosia. Fingers crossed for a sunnier week ahead, with less rain and frost! ☀️
