my story ⤵️
“You don’t live in the south?” 🤔
I hear it all the time.
⛱️ Although my work gives a southern, coastal feel, I don’t actually live in the south.
However, the reason I love to create art that feels nostalgic is because I was born and raised on the atlantic coast of Florida.
☀️ I spent most of my early life there and even graduated from a Florida school. So many of my friends and family still live there, so I am back often to visit.
Although I don’t live in a southern city currently, I do pull inspiration from coastal cities that have a rich history.
That is why my recent collection is split into 3 mini collections:
🏝️ Palm Beach
💃 Miami
👒 Amelia Island
Each mini collection has its own unique touch, capitalizing on not only the sights and sounds that you see while in that particular city, but the FEELING you get when being there.
I know I probably say it all the time, but art should tell a story, and I’m so glad I am able to use the places that I grew up as the story behind my art.
