❤️ Our Story — From City Girl to Country Living
Hey y'all! I may have started out as a city girl, but country living captured my heart when I moved to the countryside during my teenage years. Through 4-H, I discovered my love for showing horses and rabbits, photography, animals, and the simple joys of rural life. Little did I know that God was preparing my heart for a future filled with family, farming, faith, and more four-legged adventures than I could ever imagine! On September 18, 1987, I met a country boy who would forever change my life. We married on March 22, 1991, and began building a life together rooted in love, hard work, and shared dreams. He grew up surrounded by dirt roads, fresh country air, and the traditions of rural living. Together, we discovered our love for gardening, fishing, horseback riding, raising animals, and creating a home where family and nature could flourish. Along the way, God blessed us with three wonderful children and eight amazing grandchildren. Our family gatherings are filled with laughter, muddy boots, little hands helping in the garden, and memories being made around every corner. It isn't always peaceful or picture-perfect, but it's our beautiful, blessed life—and we wouldn't trade it for anything.
🏡 Brooks Family Homestead Haven™ — A Dream Built on Faith
In 2014, our longtime dream began taking shape when we discovered an old, run-down farmhouse. It needed plenty of work, a whole lot of patience, and more elbow grease than we probably realized at the time. But we saw something special. We saw possibilities, a place to raise animals, grow our own food, gather our family, and build something meaningful for generations to come. With faith, determination, and plenty of hard work, Brooks Family Homestead Haven™ became our reality. Today, our homestead is more than a house and a piece of land. It's where traditions are passed down, grandchildren discover the wonders of nature, animals become family, and the simplest blessings remind us of God's goodness. We believe that a homestead isn't measured by its size or how perfect everything looks. It's measured by the love that grows within it, the memories made along the way, and the legacy we leave behind.**
🐾 Our Four-Legged Family — The Doggos & Barn Cats
Every good homestead needs a few loyal companions, some furry supervisors, and at least one animal who thinks they're in charge. Around here, we have plenty! Our beloved dogs—Izzy, Patches, and Dinga —are part watchdog, part cuddle bug, and completely spoiled members of the family. Whether they're following us through the garden, keeping an eye on the goats, or enjoying a well-deserved nap, they're never far from the action. Then there are our cats—Sox, Boots, and Pumpkin—our official pest-control crew and unofficial homestead management team. You'll find them lounging in sunbeams, supervising chores, sleeping wherever they please, or reminding us that we may pay the bills, but they own the place!
🐐 Brooks Goatie Haven™ — Where Mischief Has Hooves! Meet our lovable troublemakers: Truffles Sassy Pants, Frost-er, Squishy, Onyx, Pugsley, and Wednesday! These Boer-cross bottle babies were raised right inside our home until they were yearlings, so it's no surprise they still think they're part of the household. They're curious, playful, affectionate, stubborn, and always plotting their next adventure. Whether they're demanding attention, investigating something they shouldn't, or trying to convince us they need another treat, life with our goats is never boring. They may test our patience occasionally, but they fill our hearts with joy. At Brooks Goatie Haven™, the goats aren't just livestock—they're family with hooves and very big personalities!
🐔 Brooks Hen Haven™ — Home of the Famous Fresh Butt Nuggets! If there's one thing our chickens know how to do, it's keep us entertained! At Brooks Hen Haven™ our feathered ladies spend their days scratching, clucking, exploring, and occasionally acting like they own the entire homestead. They provide us with fresh, colorful eggs—affectionately known around here as our famous "Fresh Butt Nuggets!"
They also help with garden cleanup, insect control, and making sure there's never a dull moment. From the first morning crow to the last evening cluck, our chickens are a daily reminder that some of life's greatest blessings come in the simplest packages. And yes, sometimes those packages come with feathers!
🍯 Brooks Honeybee Apiary Haven™ — A Little Honey, A Lot of Hard Work! Our honeybees may be tiny, but the work they do is mighty! At Brooks Honeybee Apiary Haven™, my husband tends to our hardworking bees, helping support the pollination of our gardens, flowers, and surrounding landscape. The bees produce beautiful golden honey, one of nature's sweetest gifts. Now, there's a little twist to this part of our homestead story. I'm allergic to bees! So, while my husband handles the buzzing business, I happily admire their hard work from a safe distance. But don't worry—I still enjoy the delicious rewards! Our apiary reminds us that even the smallest of God's creations has an important purpose.
🌻 Brooks Garden Haven™ — Growing with Faith and Gratitude
There's something truly special about planting a tiny seed, caring for it, and watching it grow into something beautiful. At Brooks Garden Haven™, we grow vegetables, flowers, herbs, and plants that nourish our family and bring beauty to our homestead. Our gardens are places of peace, purpose, learning, and gratitude. We believe in thoughtful growing practices, caring for the soil, respecting nature, and appreciating the gifts God has provided. You'll often find me tending garden beds, harvesting herbs, gathering flowers, or exploring the woods and fence lines for wild plants.

One of the most meaningful parts of my creative journey is Rooted in Faith — Saved by Grace™. This special part of our homestead brings together my love for God, family, sewing, quilting, crafting, and creating beautiful things with my own two hands. I've always loved working with fabric, experimenting with new ideas, and turning ordinary materials into something special. Now, with the addition of 3D printing, the creative possibilities seem endless! Our handmade and custom creations include:

- Personalized gifts and keepsakes
- Unique 3D-printed creations
- Wedding favors and special occasion gifts

Whether I'm sitting at my sewing machine, working on a quilting project, designing something for my 3D printer, or trying a completely new craft, I find joy in the creative process. Every handmade item represents time, patience, attention to detail, and a little piece of my heart. Rooted in Faith — Saved by Grace™ is more than a creative name. It's a reflection of the faith that grounds me, the grace that carries me, and the gifts God has blessed me with. My hope is that the things I create bring joy, encouragement, and a little extra beauty into someone's day.
