A simple change like the right sideboard can make a space feel finished, elevated, and cohesive.

It’s not about more—it’s about choosing better.

If your home feels “almost there,” it’s usually a few key pieces standing in the way.

Good design isn’t just about how a home looks—it’s about how it works for your life.

A well-designed home and business makes everyday routines easier. It supports the way your family actually lives. It removes friction from the little moments that fill your day.

When a space is thoughtfully designed, things simply flow better—mornings feel smoother, rooms feel calmer, and your home or business starts working with you instead of against you.

This is why I spend so much time getting to know how my clients live and use their space before we ever start designing. Because the best spaces aren’t just beautiful—they’re built around the people living in them.

If your home or business isn’t working as well as it could, it might just need a more intentional design behind it.

They say 2016 is trending… so let’s take it back.

Remember when sunburst mirrors, bold geometric rugs, and patterned tile everywhere were the moment? In 2016, interiors were all about statement pieces, high contrast, and making sure every corner had a little personality.

Trends always come back around—but the key is knowing what to revive, what to refresh, and what to leave in the past. Timeless design isn’t about chasing every trend… it’s about curating them thoughtfully.

Which 2016 trend do you still love (or secretly don’t miss at all)?

January wins (so far) ✨

On the personal side—watching our baby start crawling (blink and you miss it), carving out time to catch up with friends, and taking a full day off to soak up memories at the zoo with my kids. These moments ground me and remind me why balance matters.

Professionally, January has already been full in the best way—refreshing and updating my website, onboarding two new clients (Airbnb & residential 🙌🏻), and truly enjoying making content to post here. I’m stepping into the year feeling focused and inspired.

Grateful for a season that’s already offering growth, momentum, and meaningful moments—both at home and in work. Here’s to building on it 🤍

Natural light does more than make a space look beautiful — it completely changes how it feels.

When you’re designing a room with large windows like this, let the architecture lead:
• Keep window treatments minimal so light stays uninterrupted
• Choose warm, natural materials (wood, linen, cane) to balance all that brightness
• Anchor the space with darker elements so it doesn’t feel washed out

The goal isn’t just a pretty room — it’s a space that feels calm, grounded, and livable all day long.

Design should support how you live, not hinder it!

Design is often felt before it’s noticed.

In this space, every detail was chosen to create a sense of warmth and ease — from the curved leather chairs that invite conversation, to the layered textures and natural wood that ground the room and make it feel lived-in, not styled.

Good interior design isn’t about filling a room.
It’s about editing with intention, balancing contrast, and creating moments that make people want to stay a little longer.

If a room feels calm, welcoming, and effortless — that’s not an accident. It’s design doing its job.

Hi, I’m Emily — the designer behind the spaces.
I’m a full-service interior designer serving Upstate South Carolina, specializing in thoughtfully curated homes and high-performing Airbnb and short-term rental properties.

Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. I’m drawn to organic textures, layered neutrals, and spaces that feel grounded, livable, and inviting. My approach is always centered on how a space is meant to be enjoyed — whether that’s a family home designed for everyday life or a short-term rental created to feel effortless, elevated, and memorable.

I’m also a mom of four, which has shaped the way I design more than anything else. I believe beautiful spaces should be functional, durable, and truly lived in — not just styled.

My goal is simple: to create spaces that feel intentional, welcoming, and deeply personal to the people who experience them.

nstall day ✨
The most exciting part of the design process is watching months of planning, sourcing, and selections come together in real time. Every pillow, lamp, and layer has a purpose—and when it all clicks, the space finally feels like home.

If you’re dreaming of a transformation but don’t know where to start, that’s where I come in. Let’s take your vision from Pinterest board to reality—without the overwhelm. 🤍
