Envision it, put in the work, stay focused, PRAY and watch your vision come to life!
Our Soulful Lounge was one spot in our new home that I struggled with designing. I pondered about creating a standalone dining room or perhaps using the square footage for a butler’s pantry or even expanding upon what I assumed would be my office to add an extra bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. I just couldn’t figure out how to use this square footage.
We went back and forth on the plans, but something kept tugging at my heart to create a dramatic, sensual space to relax, unwind and listen to the music which always soothes my soul.
Once we deemed this space to be the lounge, I pondered over colors, decor items to complement the aesthetic, and furniture to adequately accommodate seating, but not overcrowd the room.
It took me almost 1.5 years to breathe life into the room, but it turned out to be one of my most favorite areas in our home. Slow and steady always reaps rewards.
As we venture into the onset of 2024, don’t try to rush a decision or opportunity. Everything occurs in God’s perfect timing which might not align to our plans. Be patient. Continue working towards the goal and trust me, you will be pleased with the outcome.
During the past few weeks, months, my follower numbers have declined. I was disappointed, but I am who I am. I’m sharing what I love and what brings me joy. I’m 60, I can’t and don’t care to keep up with you dynamic millennials who know how to create productions with each reel. I will be present more, I will be consistent, but I won’t apologize for being me. All are welcome here and I’m thankful for those of you that stick around. If I can inspire one person or help someone create a home that reflects joy, I’m blessed.
