This primary bath was designed with comfort in mind from the very beginning. A spacious walk-in shower, a soaking tub that actually invites you to use it, and enough room for the whole space to feel open and easy to move through.

I wanted it to feel calming without stripping away all the character. Swipe for a full view of the space.

Rooms like this are all about atmosphere. The darker tones, layered textures, and warmer finishes give the space a sense of depth that changes throughout the day.

I wanted this sitting area to feel intimate without feeling heavy. Somewhere you could sit with a drink, have a conversation, or just enjoy a quieter moment away from the rest of the house.

Well, allow me to reintroduce myself! There are quite a lot more of you here than there were a couple weeks ago (nearly 800 new faces), so I figured it was probably time to say hello 👋

I’m Layton, and I’ve spent most of my career designing homes that feel personal, layered, and actually lived in. I’ve never been all that interested in spaces that look perfect but don’t function in real life. The goal is always to create something beautiful that people genuinely enjoy being in every day.

I’m drawn to strong architecture, interesting materials, good art, and rooms that feel collected over time instead of overly decorated. And honestly, I just really love the process of pulling all of those pieces together.

So you’re here and excited to share more of the work, the process, and everything in between!

I always think about how a space feels on any given day. Something on the stove, light coming in from every angle.

That’s really what this room was designed for. A place that feels warm and welcoming for the whole family to spend time in.

This is one of those rooms that just works. It’s large in scale, but it never feels too formal or off-limits.

Everything is set up for the day to day. Comfortable seating (this couch is a DREAM!), softer textures, and a simple layout. It’s the kind of space people naturally gravitate toward in a home.

Taking a moment today to slow down and reflect.

Grateful for the time to be at home, to gather, and to appreciate the spaces that bring people together. Happy Memorial Day!

I don’t always go this light, but when I do, it has to feel intentional.

The color, the symmetry, and the clean lines all work together here to keep the space feeling calm without being too minimal. What do you think?

This corner of the living room ended up becoming the spot for the game table. It’s one of those areas that gets used more than you’d expect.

The ceramics by , chairs from , and pendant and game table by all bring a little personality to it without making it feel too formal. It’s relaxed, functional, and just a good place to spend time.

This is usually where I end up at the end of the day.

I’ve always thought of this room as a place to bring together pieces I’ve collected over time. Things from different places, different trips, all layered in a way that feels personal without being too structured. Some of those pieces live in the custom cabinet, mixed in with everything else.

The rug from and the chairs from help ground the space and keep it feeling comfortable and easy to spend time in.
