Textured tile is one of the details that makes my heart sing right now. It is a fantastic detail that creates wonderful interest as a focal point when used as a complete statement wall or backsplash. Or when interspersed with solid tiles, give just enough pop to add interest.

For the last few years white textured tiles have appeared everywhere especially in a 12x24 format. But to move from basic to intentional design this tile is best in colors and sizes that are more precise.

Wallpaper is the most beautiful way to create interest and add a powerful or subtle decorative detail. This soft blue is wonderful on bathrooms, powder room and dining spaces.
Wall covering changes a space in the most beautiful way and it is the perfect summertime project….but now is the time to get this scheduled 💙

A perfect start to a busy week….being greeted by these beauties and prepping for a Masters
Week party.

My first stop today was to refresh and update a home in anticipation of a big Masters watch party.

After our planning walkthrough a few weeks ago in anticipation of this event, today was about moving furniture within rooms and between rooms, moving table lamps, artwork, accessories and refreshing shelves, mantles, and table tops. Her beautiful country home looks fresh and party ready.

Now all she has left is to bring on the green, white and yellow tabletop decor and to await the arrival of the Taste of the Masters party food that will deliver Augusta National’s timeless and favorite foods for an elevated watch party for the 90th Masters Tournament this weekend! ⛳️

The only thing that could have made this appointment better would have been to take of these pretty horses for a ride through the countryside….or an egg salad sandwich to go! 💛🤍💚

Can wallpaper be mid-century modern?

Yes, it can be used to set a theme (grass cloth -printed or overly textured) tiki paper, or desert kitsch.

Wallpaper can illuminate ceilings, make bathrooms pop, or bedrooms feel cozy. It can elevate a color story in an unexpected way, or make what you think is a solid wall be just a little bit more.

The whimsy of mid-century modern can even be found in patterns that replicate the pattern of breeze blocks.

It’s all good and oh, so fun!

The mid-century modern gem Sunnylands is a perfect stop for week. This stunning 200-acre property served as the winter retreat for Walter and Leonore Annenberg. Completed in 1966, the home boasts historic significance, while the golf course surrounding it was finished in 1965. Designed by renowned architect A. Quincy Jones, Sunnylands' grounds and architecture are a testament to its role in world affairs. Although photography isn't allowed inside the home, the breathtaking grounds are picture-perfect.
