The homeowner envisioned a kitchen that felt open and
uncomplicated—one that allowed her to cook and prep while remaining fully engaged in the conversation around her. During construction, she would often visit the site and stand where the island would eventually be, imagining mornings spent making breakfast or evenings preparing dinner. “That’s what made the house feel real to me,” she says. “It’s what got me so excited about living here.”

This project was an all-time favorite of designer . “She wanted an office area for her new remote role, a place to host her Mahjong
group, and, since her father-in-law lives in England, a home-away-from-home for his long-term visits,” says Chesson of her client. “I went a little outside of her comfort zone with the deep monochromatic scheme, but my favorite aspects of this project lie in the subtly repeated elements: the fluted details in the cabinetry design carried through the edge of the game table, the roping on the backs of the chairs, and the base of the coffee table.

Sun-soaked, effortlessly elevated, and designed for the way we gather now—The new Coral Bay Club by interior designer Andrew Howard (and architect ) is a masterclass in coastal sophistication.

Layered textures, a fresh yet timeless palette, and thoughtfully curated spaces create an atmosphere that feels both refined and relaxed. From airy gathering areas that blur the line between indoors and out to bespoke details that nod to classic club tradition, every corner is designed to invite connection, comfort, and escape.

It’s the kind of place where mornings stretch a little longer, afternoons drift by, and evenings feel endlessly golden.
