What a beautiful time of year to share another memory that took place at 599 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. In November of 1949, brothers Hugh and Webb McLean opened McLean's Super Market. For decades the McLean family (including their 3 sons) served the Mooresville Community from the corner of N. Main and Statesville Avenue. I hope you enjoy the photos of Webb and his wife, Violet, riding in their horse drawn buggy, photos of their sons, Rick, Jimmy, and Ron, and one of my favorites, the photo of the cutlery used by Webb McLean to cut meats as the store butcher. Past memories need to be preserved, and I am grateful that Rick McLean shared these precious family photos with me. (Hart's Flooring and Variety Store now claims this popular corner as home, owner, Mr. Leroy Hart.)

Always remember the past, it leads you into the future.

The past, 599 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC was for decades the home of Mooresville Jewlery & Loan, owned and operated by Ms. Wilson.

The present, 599 N. Main Street, Mooresville, NC, Mr. Leroy Hart, calls this famous corner home of Harts Flooring & Variety Shop. I am honored to manage the Variety Shop, and I see such a bright future, offering treasures to local residence, and those who live in proximity to the Charlotte Area.

Come by and check out the shop, we are open Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Erika, and I, Myra, look forward to greeting you.

Hey everyone, you have got to come by and see the changes that have taken place at Hart's Flooring & Variety Shop! Find us at 599 N. Main Street (preciously, Mooresville Jewlery & Loan, and prior to the pawn shop being located on this landmark corner, you parents or grandparents might have shopped at McLean's Grocery for over 75 years.) Mr. Hart and I (Myra Howard) joined forces, and I have had a blast rearranging the retail side of the business. Mr. Hart is still managing and installing all flooring needs, and he is burning the candle at both ends. Stop by and look around, you never know what you might find. We certainly look forward to seeing you soon.
