Because sometimes you realize you want to live in some kind of hunting lodge but then you realize you don’t have any fishing skills or interest in fish taxidermy 🐟🤢

After installing our Uni Mat wallpaper from , I wanted to balance the matte texture with lots of reflective accessories. A convex mirror, hurricane lamp and acrylic shadow boxes does the trick!

‘Cause I’m about that basket life 🧺

Eventually we plan to build a banquet in here but for now, we are rocking some chairs and this gorgeous ottoman in Versure Bois de Chene from (sponsored) It helps to have extra seating when we have friends over and my daughter loves to read in this corner while I make dinner. 10/10 recommend an ottoman with a fun pop of pattern at the table 👏

And in case you are wondering, I actually use these baskets. They hold potatoes, onions and canning supplies which helps a ton in our smallish kitchen where storage is limited especially if I rip out the uppers in the future 😬😆

Give me something for my house and I’ll probably put nailhead trim on it 🔨 It just gives ordinary things a little something extra. ✨It comes in lots of colors and is fairly easy to install (cork being the easiest I’ve tried, my antique hutch a little harder, but still doable). I use a rubber mallet to avoid scratching the nail heads, but don’t worry, the trim usually comes with plenty of extra nails if you break or scratch one. So much easier than putting them in one by one. And it’s a fun, kind of instant gratification project for an afternoon.

The second big decision I made for our living room was to select a beautiful drape from 🌸 I fell in love with the Pink Posy Suzani curtains. They add so much softness to the room and the quality is amazing. All of their curtains are handmade by artisans around the world and feature prints of vintage fabrics to give them that old-world, global feeling. And I can tell you from experience, you’d never get curtains of this quality from a big box store. These are big-girl curtains, featuring fully lined, heavyweight panels you can expect to have for 10 years or more. And my favorite part, is this particular shade of coral happens to look amazing in every room in our house. It’s like magic really. When working on multiple spaces that are in close proximity, mood-boards are so important! This ensure all the materials are harmonious with one another. 🙌 This project involves a fully renovated Tudor kitchen, with dry bar and butlers pantry, so there have been so many surfaces to consider at once. Although I usually assist my clients remotely, via edesign, this happens to be a local project, so I’m thrilled to be able to see this one come to life in person! 🥂 My client has been such a pleasure to work with. Once she told me her favorite colors were green, black and natural wood tones, she totally won me over! 😻

No changing table? No problem.
I’ve found almost any sturdy, flat surface can work, and will have much more longevity for use later on. In fact, this IKEA shelf even fit a standard changing pad topper perfectly. If you have a dresser that doesn’t seem high enough, remember you will gain about 3 inches with your topper. And you can always add peg legs to the bottom of your furniture to give you a little more height if needed. 🙌

One of the things I didn’t have with my first baby, was a comfortable glider. So I was thrilled to add the ( ) Kiwi from to our nursery 🙌 We have all been fighting over it since it arrived, actually 😆Andy has already napped in it so I can tell you it’s comfy! But it’s so much more than a glider. It rocks, swivels and reclines 🤯 And did I mention there is a USB charger inside the armrest? It’s located right next to the buttons which quietly extend and retract the recline feature so you don’t have to worry about waking baby. Amazing!
This is one of those pieces that can be used in other rooms down the road, so this is some added baby gear that will actually have some longevity 🙌 // More at babyletto.com
