For delivery, we need at least 1' of space on both sides of your greenhouse to get it in place.

Delivered greenhouses arrive fully assembled, so the route matters as much as the pad:
1. The narrowest point between the road and the pad.
2. Overhead branches and wires.
3. A level, drained, cleared pad.
4. 8+ hours of sun a day.

Tight access? Ask about an on-site build. Both paths run 2-4 weeks right now.

Two ways to get a Heritage Steel greenhouse. Your yard decides which.

Delivered (8x8 to 12x20 ft): built and assembled at the shop, delivered whole. Free within 30 miles of your local authorized dealer.
Built on site: available on every delivered size for a fee. For fenced yards and sites a truck and trailer can't reach.
Large Scale (16x20 to 24x40 ft): always built on site.

Lead time for either path: 2-4 weeks. Ask which fits your yard.

A greenhouse isn't a heater. Here's what it does in winter, by the numbers.

Heat: unheated, expect roughly 8°F of help on an average night, more on sunny days.
Light: it doesn't add daylight. Under about 10 hours, growth slows.
Hardy crops: kale, chard, carrots, spinach and radishes keep growing unheated.
Tropicals: most foliage plants are at risk below about 50°F. Outside, the average coldest night is 0-10°F in zone 7 and 20-30°F even in zone 9. Plan on heat.

Heating options and double-wall polycarbonate are available. Delivery: 2-4 weeks. On-site installation: 2-4 weeks.

Do the math before the cold does.

1. Look up your average first-frost date (search your ZIP).
2. Subtract 4 weeks. Delivery is 2-4 weeks and on-site installation is 2-4 weeks right now.
3. Already past that date? Order anyway. Hard freezes tend to come later, and cold-hardy crops keep growing.

Frost dates are averages, not forecasts. First frost can hit zone 6 weeks before zone 9.

"First frost" isn't one temperature. It's four.

33-36°F: frost forms on leaves. Tropical plants can be injured at temperatures as high as 59°F.
29-32°F: a light freeze kills tender plants. Tomatoes, peppers, basil, cucumbers and summer squash are done.
25-28°F: a moderate freeze damages most garden plants.
24°F and below: a hard freeze. Only cold-hardy crops survive unprotected.

Know which one is coming and what's still in your garden. Delivery is 2-4 weeks right now, so find your average first-frost date (it varies by zone) and count back.

A greenhouse this size stops being an expense the first spring you sell out of transplants.

Three ways growers turn a Large Scale into income: selling starts, opening a short retail season, and teaching what they know.

“How big do I actually need?” is the question we get most.

Start with the bench, not the building. Count your trays, your pots, and your aisles — then pick the footprint that holds them with room to walk. 16x20 up to 24x40, with 9′ and 12′ wall upgrades for our large-scale series

Swipe for how growers decide. Anything beyond 24x40 is a custom quote away.

Potted citrus, figs, and tender tropicals need two things all winter: light, and nights above 45°F.

A windowsill gets you neither. With 9′ or 12′ wall heights, mature trees overwinter standing upright — no pruning them down to fit.

Add an infrared heater and a thermostat and you are done thinking about frost.
