🎉❤️ Happy Birthday, Tennessee! ❤️🎉
Today we celebrate the Volunteer State and its rich history!
On June 1, 1796, Tennessee officially became the 16th state admitted to the United States. The name “Tennessee” is believed to have originated from the Cherokee village of Tanasi (Tanase), one of the historic Overhill Cherokee towns located along the Little Tennessee River.
From the Great Smoky Mountains to the Mississippi River, Tennessee has a history filled with music, innovation, patriotism, and Southern hospitality. We’re proud to call this beautiful state home!
