I was making Sabres art before everyone thought the Sabres were cool! And I made this mirror several years ago! I love making mirror art. You can instantly change the background in it just by where you place it. And your weather can go from overcast to sunny. It’s ever changing. I really should go back to mirror creations. I enjoyed it! This piece was just in the sip and shop this past weekend at the Kenan Centre for the Rustic Buffalo event! I thought everyone would enjoy seeing it with the outside effects! It’s just so much fun to change backgrounds! My lapdesks completely sold out but I will be making more because Together We Are Buffalo is a forever vibe! Let’s Go Buffalo!!!!!!!

It’s Day 2 of the Rustic Buffalo Sip and Shop Event ! It’s also Sabres Victory Saturday! They advanced in the Stanley Cup Championship Playoffs! And it’s Kentucky Derby Day! Who has Kentucky Derby coasters? Me!!! And if you come to the sip and shop they can be yours also! Don’t forget Cinco de Mayo too! And Mothers Day and so much more! How about a Sabres game of your own? I have Sabres and Bills tic tac toe games all wood and stone! Let’s gooooo!

It’s Friday! It’s the 1st of May! It’s Cinco de Mayo time! And the Sabres play tonight! Let’s goooooooo

When I have a sip and shop with Rustic Buffalo in the spring and the theme is Cinco de Mayo, I clearly followed the assignment! I created a Buffalo version of Cinco de Mayo and made coasters of it and little framed art. I even added my coasters in the gift basket donation, along with the Choose Love wine . I also covered the fact that Mothers Day is also in May. I created a Mamacita Buffalo coaster design, which combines Mothers Day into both Buffalo and Cinco de Mayo. Also this weekend the Kentucky Derby races are running. I already had created coasters a few years ago that celebrated that event. So I added them to my collection.
Normally in the spring , it’s not a great market for football themes and the Buffalo Bills. So how amazing is it that the hockey team, the Buffalo Sabres, are in the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in 15 years? And the city of Buffalo and the fan base is eating it up. So I created a design that pays tribute to Bad Bunny’s “ Together We Are America “ football but I changed it to Buffalo and I combined the football and hockey teams. I have coasters for this also, plus these awesome lap desks . Just in time for Mothers Day and breakfast in bed. I can’t remember when I’ve had an event where so many occasions fall in a two week span but I feel that I found the perfect way to link them together.
I love doing events with Rustic Buffalo because the brand name itself sums up my art mantra, which is western/ southwestern design. I just recently started working with mosaic art. I’ve made several trays using ceramic mosaic tiles which I have hand painted with tiny Buffalo . I also created a tray in cave art design, which is another theme I love. Check out the little bird that dropped in to observe my trays. I’ve based my art in Buffalo for several decades now, going back to doing art for Jim and Jill Kelly and their Hunters Hope Foundation. With Rustic Buffalo I can combine both worlds, the rustic designs and the proximity to a major city. I am really happy to be a part of this brand and these events!
Come to Lockport this weekend and see my set up and also what all of the other art vendors have to offer! There is so much merchandise and something for everyone.

A couple of years ago I was creating denim costume apparel. It was mostly a combination of paint and iron on patches. I have since then acquired a sewing machine, which has basically been sitting unused for over a year now. I’m planning to move that home when I get my bedroom rearranged and start using it. I also am going to explore dyeing on fabrics and an alternative to painting . I never seem to stop evolving with the things I do. I stopped making these because I really could not find anywhere locally here to market them, or the money to invest to have them in inventory in assorted sizes. I’m thinking about getting back into this again in a commission work basis. I recently crafted a baby onesie for Jim Kelly’s grandson and Jill Kelly featured it on her instagram.
