Our Sip & Stitch Wine Tasting at Eataly Chicago is TOMORROW, Friday, May 22 from 6-8 pm. Bring your knitting or crochet project and enjoy a guided tasting of three wines from different regions of Italy with one of Eataly’s wine experts 🍷

After the tasting, work on your project as you sip and socialize, and browse a selection of local yarn, tools, kits, and more that we’ll be bringing to the event for you!

is here!!! We’re having a fabulous time in our color theory class. Tomorrow’s mending class is sold out… but if you’re having FOMO and want to join us last minute, there’s still room in Brioche today at 2pm and Latvian Braids tomorrow at 10am 😉

Ann’s mending class is sold out, but there’s still room in the other workshops, so if you’re still debating signing up at the last minute, you can do so below!

The store is open during regular hours all weekend, but please note that there will be a few changes due to the special workshops:

The back area of the store, including the bulky yarn section, will be closed to shoppers. If you need something from the back of the store, we will do our best to get it for you.

We will not be able to accommodate drop-in requests for help this weekend.

We will do our best to wind your yarn as usual, but we may ask you to leave yarn to be wound later, or come back another time to wind your yarn, in order to accommodate the workshop attendees’ needs.

Happy Local Yarn Store Day!! It’s been a super fun and busy day so far… we are loving all the love and energy you’ve all been bringing on this beautiful spring day!

We got you a little something in Denmark… 😉

A HUGE shipment of arrived in the shop this week and is now on the shelves, including two new-to-us summer fibers: Hør Organic (Organic Linen) in all six colors of its limited but beautiful palette, and Trio 2, a linen, cotton, and Lyocell blend in 16 beautiful colors! Both of these fingering-weight natural fibers mix beautifully with Silk Mohair and other Isager fibers, or look stunning on their own knit at a loose gauge.

We’ve also got new and restocked colors of Soft, Soft Fine, Merilin, Boucle, Tweed, Alpaca 1, Tvinni, and Jensen. And your favorite Silk Mohair? We are up to 30 colors now in stock!!!

Ready, set,… KNIT!

Today is the Sixth Annual and Donna is ready to knit for 12 hours to raise awareness and money for four amazing charities battling hunger. It’s our first year participating as a store, and we’ve already TRIPLED Donna’s fundraising goal!

Can we quadruple our goal?

Can Donna finish her project (Sif’s Summer Sweater) during the Knit-a-Thon?
