BOO AT THE ZOO 2026 👻 // hosted
Brookfield Zoo Chicago has transformed into a Halloween must-visit stop for my Chicagoland crew!

We wore our costumes, trick-or-treated, tried some spooky bites, rode the Creepy Carousel, played the Keebler fudge stripes safari game, saw all our favorite animals and so much more!

There’s also a costume parade on select days and other amazing entertainment around the zoo grounds. Grab an event map when you arrive so you can plan out your day!

Sent an entire box of baby shower gifts down to the Grand Floridian and wondered where tf they were when I got the delivery email but my porch was package-less. 🤦🏼‍♀️

HOW I FIXED IT:
— called Grand Floridian and they advised their standard policy is to send unclaimed packages back to sender after 7 days (whether or not you’re a guest, be sure to claim ASAP when you do have a package sent to your Disney hotel)
— they advised me to get in touch with Amazon, so I did via their chat function
— the rep said he’d reship the whole order to me at no extra charge, regardless of if the Disney-sent order gets back to them or not (I’m guessing this happens a lot and isn’t worth them tracking the returns if it’s a smaller order)

That was it… surprisingly! More of an annoyance to have to contact people, and thankfully my baby shower isn’t for over a month but time could be a big problem too if you needed your items sooner.

Moral of the story: set a reminder to change your Amazon address back to home as soon as you’re done shipping vacation-delivered packages!

This is truly the way 30A was intended to be experienced. Catch every last beautiful detail — pf which there’s many — when you’re on a cruiser from Peddlers Pavilion 🚲

Save on gas. Ditch the stroller. Leave all your cares at the rental. Grab a set of bikes for the whole family (don’t forget the baskets 🧺) and breathe in every last drop of salt air you can while you’re on your much anticipated vacation.

The look on her face each time we got to open a bag or she noticed a trading board… pure magic. ✨

If you’re able, before or your trip pick one set of pins— currently being sold or fairly common past sets — and let the kids hunt for them all trip. It’s an extra layer of magic and gives them a special mission to work on.

With our extra ducks and a few starter pins we also traded our way to a full set of Epcot pins, too!
