This week at International House graduate students came together to connect across cultures and build new skills and relationships.

We held the Global Leadership & Connections Program, a two-day initiative bringing together International House communities from Chicago and Berkeley. Through interactive activities, cultural intelligence assessments, and collaborative learning, participants explored intercultural communication, inclusive leadership, and ways to build meaningful relationships across differences.

At Language Tables, students and postdocs had the opportunity to practice different languages, exchange ideas, and connect through conversations and activities in a welcoming environment.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make these experiences possible!

What a week at International House!

We explored questions that reach far beyond campus: a fireside chat with Hina Rabbani Khar and John Kirby on energy and climate security, a conversation about the Declaration of Independence and its significance for modern democracy, and Beyond Borders, where students shared insights from their research and internships abroad in global health and social development.

Thank you to our speakers, student presenters, partners, and everyone who joined us this week.
