🌉This First-Time festival will be a bridge between emerging Latino artists and the tri-state community, showcasing a variety of art forms: painting, dance, music, theater, and literature. The main goals of this event are to promote artistic expression from Latino artists in our tri-state area and showcase the work of said artists in a single event.
🌎This festival is planned to organically grow over the years, to become a signature event in our city, and is conceived to open the door to many emerging artists to engage the community in a dialog through art, providing a voice to Latinos in our area. With a roster of already over 20 artists and a free-of-charge venue located, a date has been set for October 13th and 14th, 2023.
🎨The event will alternate plastic art exhibits and mini-lectures 📚by the artist taking part in the exhibits, performance arts that include improv, 🎭theater, and dance, 💃🏻🕺and table readings of creative writing, 📝as well as art workshops for young adults and children.
📍All the works presented will be created by Latino artists in the area. All events, as well as promotion efforts, are planned to be bilingual in Spanish and English.
👏LatinArte Festival will be an opportunity to give visibility to our Latino artists and their culturally rich communities, as well as to reaffirm the commitment to true diversity and equity in our city.
