mid week build tip: part one ☝🏼🏑

if you’re new here, we DIY build our new home, we saved over $600k doing things ourselves while creating a home that just makes sense for our family of 5, and now im here to share our fave additions so you can save and use them too!

typically adding a floor drain to a garage is an upgrade or not offered, but standing water on concrete can break it down over time and honestly just a mess. we added this linear drain not only to be able to clean the up easier, but we live in Ohio, it snows ALOT and this helps drain all that slush and snow off my car and into the drain πŸ‘πŸΌ

follow along for more on this project and our other DIY projects. currently we are wrapping out all of our backyard projects πŸ‘πŸΌ

soooo what started with we are building a fireplace, ended up as taking railings down, redoing the stone, landscaping, wrapping the posts, adding trim pieces and adding poly to the ceiling πŸ‘€ I am SO excited to finally make this space feel cozy so we can enjoy it for the rest of the summer and fall πŸ‚

we will be adding a tv bc movie nights in the fall was our FAVE thing to do at our old house.
