It seemed like yesterday when we christened our greenhouse in March. Over a thousand plants sprouted here in the spring and grew beautifully Jean Angus throughout the summer and fall. Now it’s time to tuck some things away for next year. Enjoy putting your garden to bed 🛌.

There is something special about bringing a beautiful vision to life. This intimate bridal shower was thoughtfully styled with ch*****ne station, bouquet bar, and elegant table scape inspired by the bride’s wedding palette. I had the pleasure of creating the bouquet bar and floral centerpieces - - - an honor to help create this special day. 🥂

Yesterday’s Ikebana workshop featured the Ohara school of Ikebana which emphasizes natural environments. We used calla lillies as our subject (focal flower) and lisianthus as our object (support flower) and with a bit of tree fern for interest. This upright row design is a basic building block within the Ohara school. Using Ikebana principles has helped me create more open, free-flowing work in my garden-inspired designs. It’s nice to be the student. I come away inspired.
