The Power of a Father’s Direction

Fatherhood is heavy. God created man and holds them to an incredibly high standard. It is a massive responsibility to shape a life. Some people grow up with a father deeply involved in their lives. Others experience the painful reality of an absent one. But for those who have the luxury of an invested dad, the impact is eternal. I was blessed with that luxury. My dad didn't just exist in my life; he provided direction.

The beautiful truth about a father’s influence: it cannot be buried. Death took his presence, but it could never touch his wisdom. He raised me on Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” It was a verse i didnt have to memorize, it was ingrained in me. As a little girl, I remember looking up and asking, "Dad, why does it say 'he' and not 'she'?" Without missing a beat, my dad looked at the verse, added an "S" to the front, and made it "she." That small moment was one I will forever take with me. He was teaching me that God’s promises were for me too. He used his influence actively to make sure his daughter felt seen, valued, and fiercely loved.

Shoutout to the dads who understand the weight of their assignment and choose to lead their children with intentional love.

Embrace the Wait 🫣🫡🙃

Waiting can be frustrating, but it also gives you time to prepare and grow.

To wait well is to move from frustration to action.

Focus on What You Can Control. Work on your attitude and habits, these are things you can change.

Practice Gratitude for the Present. Appreciate today. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to approach God with thanks instead of worry.

Prepare for New Opportunities. Use this time to improve your skills and get ready for what’s next. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything,”

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that those who wait on the Lord will find new strength.

Waiting can be hard, but it is also a chance for personal growth.

What steps are you taking while you wait?

Today, my heart is full of gratitude for the undeserved love, mercy, and Grace of our Almighty God. 💪🫶🤟
