I just adore these waste-nothing, Scrap Wrap Wreaths. As the name would suggest, I make these wreaths from scraps of fabric I have left behind from other projects. I hate throwing anything away so I love making use of these small bits of fabric. I cut them into strips, iron them, wrap them, then glue them onto the wreath along with some coordinating decorations. They are so colorful and fun! I'm looking forward to selling them this summer at the art markets I'll be a vendor at.

My creative brain is a blessing and a curse! I love all of the ideas I have, and it's fun to dabble in many different art mediums. But sometimes I feel like I'm jumping from one project to the next, and I'm pulled all over the place with my various interests.

I've long enjoyed scrapbooking and junk journaling. It's a fun hobby I pop in and out of when I'm in the mood. Well recently my interest was piqued once again, and I started this vintage scrapbook junk journal. It's cool because I'm finally finding a use for the many random bits paper ephemera I've collected. This is something I'll work on here and there when I'm in between other projects. I probably won't have lots of regular updates on it but I'll share whenever I do work on it.

Do you hear the squeal of delight?! Look at all the the enchanting little miniatures I just got! This morning I woke up to a sign in my neighborhood that there was estate sale happening just down the street. I was curious and I popped over. I was surprised by some really fantastic little finds for Mossy Moon Cottage. On top of that, yesterday a very generous and thoughtful neighbor dropped a little package off on my front doorstep. Look at the wonderful little things she gave me! She is so sweet, and I'm incredibly grateful! I hope you enjoy these little bits as much as I do!

Next room renovation - the kitchen! I wanted to give you a quick tour of what the kitchen looks like before I do too much to it. So far I've only put the wallpaper up and gotten some ideas of items I want to use to create the furniture. I will be adding a wooden floor out of popsicle sticks. I will be making cabinets, a sink and a backsplash using broken bits of china. I need to figure out what I want to use as a refrigerator. And of course there will be tons of other little details added along the way. Stay tuned for all of the charming updates!

Welcome to part 1 of our tour of the living room of Mossy Moon Cottage! Here you will see and hear about all the details that went into creating this room. I will talk about what I made things out of, where certain items came from, and the sentimental value and personal significance of some of the items.
