One of our favorite places to shop is ReStore on 57 by Habitat for Humanity Northwest New Jersey

Several weeks ago, it was so sad to see that the kid’s sized shopping cart used by our littlest Otter had either been taken, or just accidentally sold. (We root for the latter!)

The solution was simple; this is our wheelhouse 😬🤣

We found one at a flea market that was in rough, rusted shape. We redid it all, top to bottom.
It needed some new wheels welded on, and we added plastic washers to spin, as well as fidget spinners that we got at the restore last year. It sure made sense to add those for little ones to have more fun while pushing or waiting!
Now ALL the little thrifters can enjoy it! It was SO much fun to make this custom Restore piece that is well marked to stay!! And as always, we found wonderful treasures to come home with!!

It was an amazing day at High Bridge Creative Team Grounds For Art fest! The Luck Dragon that Marc made was engaged with all day, (and it’s there for the long haul, go see it!)
the Duckolator Raceway we made was non stop action and all to raise funds for The Outreach Connection, and the The Outreach Connection fenceline mural, (designed and created by us) and started with all the volunteers writing kindness on circles, and then added to by patrons all day, was a hit! The day was filled with over 3000 patrons, and amazing vendors and activities were everywhere! We are exhausted and happy!

A special thank you to all of the volunteers on the High Bridge Creative team who work SO SO HARD to make this incredible event a wild success for the whole community, and for the art that is on display year round!

There are TONS more circles awaiting messages of positivity and hope to be placed on the mural!

Just stop by @31 Threads By The Outreach Connection to write on a circle of your choice, and THEN stop by the grounds for art a week later, (it’s a public park) as we will be adding them weekly until the whole mural is filled!

WHAT IS A DUCK-O-LATOR? 🤣🤣😅😅😅😬😬😬

We aren’t 100% sure either, but we promise you that a GIANT one WILL BE APPEARING at this year’s Grounds for Art, and it will all be to raise funds for The Outreach Connection Food Pantry!!!

You see, when your three year old granddaughter is obsessed with rubber ducks, and you get her some, and then she asks where they came from, and her maker/builder Pops says “Oh, from our Duck-o-Lator” because HE thinks he’s SOOOOOOO funny.

Now, instead of ASKING what a duck-o-lator is, said grandbaby just excitedly says “OH YOU HAVE A DUCK-O-LATOR??? That’s SO COOL! I’m so excited! Now I can get ducks whenever I want from your duckolator!”
No questions. No joke. Just a flat out belief in the fact that we MUST HAVE A DUCKOLATOR.

And then her maker/builder GiGi, (cause Pops and Gigi are a design build team here) immediately looks at Pops and says, “OH. YOU DID THIS. We are MAKING A DUCKOLATOR NOW. End of story.”

(If you have grandkids, this makes perfect sense to you.)

In this creative maker shop, designs are underway. It’s mad-scientist-inventor-time.

All we can tell you, is bring dollar bills.

Get ready to get some ducks from the duck-o-lator.

Importantly, come support a HUGE, amazing, local food pantry!! Every last dime that is collected from this darned duckolator, (however the ones goes in, we have no idea yet) will 100% go to their efforts to fight hunger.

And tell us in the comments what YOU see that a Duck-o-lator has or parts of it that actually are in YOUR vision. Maybe your idea will make the cut into the final build!!
😅🤣

Saturday, September 12, 1 pm - 6 pm, the High Bridge Grounds for Art Fest.

The DUCK-O-LATOR IS COMING!!!

Even if we don’t know what a Duck-o-lator actually is.
But we will.

This piece was such an honor to create. The gifter had the start of a vision (green and gold with an old world feel) the recipient had chosen the name of his house as an homage to the his love of a book/movie series so the font choice was super important!

I first engraved this beautiful, old piece of southern pine to give it depth and dimension, then hand painted the letters and outlined them as well.

This was a heartfelt, special piece that was made to endure the outdoor weather, but beautiful enough to be installed indoors as well.

12”x22” and it is a work for the ages that I am so grateful to have been chosen to create!!

I am honored to be a part of the HMVC Online Gallery Exhibition, "Within One Color" for the month of June.

This piece was created especially for this exhibition, choosing a color and only using the shades, hues, and tones of it for an original artwork.

The work, entitled "Sorry We Can't Help You", resonates deeply with me as I witness the struggles by so many humans from all walks of life, all who represent a little of each of us. This piece serves as an observation of those who simply can not access the help they need to thrive, to move forward, to function amongst those who seem to keep moving forward, connected to what they need to power on, whilst their own needs are just out of reach.

First I make the art on wood, then I make it into a one of a kind wooden puzzle, in its’ own tray, with an uplifting feel.

These two are donations and headed to a private charity auction this weekend that will benefit The Outreach Connection food pantry.

I love making these so very much!

I am so very honored to have participated in the inaugural event, hosted by the incredible High Bridge Creative Team.

In a huge surprise to me, I was awarded Most On Theme for my piece, “It Starts With Just One”. This is so very special to me for many reasons that I could go on an on about.

I’m also grateful that the piece was purchased and will now be on display in the beautiful, historic brick building that houses which is such a unique and fitting space.

I’m excited for what’s ahead and proud to be part of a group SO dedicated to bringing art to the forefront in High Bridge.

I’m excited to share another piece I have featured in !

This event is a walkable art experience throughout local businesses, where you can explore artwork in unexpected places and even place bids on pieces you love. It will take place April 11th - 26th along Main Street in High Bridge, NJ.

You will be able to find this piece titled, “You Are Seen, You Are Loved,” along with another at

This whimsical piece was created using leftover acrylic from my other work, “It Starts With Just One.” Instead of letting those outer shapes go to waste, I saw the potential for something new. Made with acrylic, glass eyes, and metal hardware, the piece is designed to be picked up, turned, and even gently shaken so the inner gears shift and reposition the eyes.

If you’d like to learn more or place a bid, you can do so here!
