Ok so maybe I have quit embroidery? šŸ˜… haven’t finished a single piece since maybe November…. I’m not sure if it’s my fixation on school, my self-isolation in the semi-winter we’ve had in Colorado, my medication preferring to focus on researching 1890s ladies-of-the-evening rather than miniature stitching, the general state of… things happening in the world…probably a combination of all the above.

None of the things in my previous post even made it in to the Manitou store before the winter holidays, and I’ve been silent since so. I guess I felt I should acknowledge my absence even though no one asked šŸ˜€

I won’t delete this page or dissolve my LLC, but I won’t be checking this or posting here so if you have a mighty need you may request to add my personal IG (in bio). I am going to focus on my family, school, and (hopefully) some personal art projects (but probably not til March when I have a week off between classes, if I’m being honest). I may still accept a commission or two from family, friends or previous commission customers. Maybe a market or two when I’m in a better place mentally.

Thank you to every true friend who has encouraged me through this, and to anyone who got a little joy out of seeing a naughty word embroidered. I hope that in 800 years when I finish my PhD some of you will be around to celebrate with me.

The end. 🫶

šŸ“£ A Bittersweet Update
After many months of thought, I’ve made the sad decision to step away from ._ downtown to focus on finishing my BA in History, and to pour more time and energy into my work at .

I’m deeply grateful to the Eclectic community for supporting my growth in The Green Stitch over the past 2+ years! Every kind word, purchase, and moment of connection has meant the world.

This isn’t goodbye — you’ll still be able to find my work at and online. Please reach out to me with any and all custom ideas! I’d love to create something special for each of you who has supported me along the way. And I’ll continue creating and stitching with care, always. šŸ’š

Thank you for being part of this growth journey with me. You’ll each hold a special place in my heart (until me Alzheimer’s kicks in 🤣).

1) my hollyhocks (I call them my Witcher Flowers) are blooming 2) my Prince Walter misses me when I go to the hardware store with his human father and 3) See my most recent personal post for why I haven’t been embroidering much, but I am hopefully that I’ll be able to both crush a degree and make art once I’ve adjusted to my new meds. Promise I’m not giving up or ghosting this business/page! 😘

This thrifted vessel is a vintage, hand-blown, recycled glass decanter 🤩 and his name is Henry FitzRoy, knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter. He carries two mature and well-rooted golden pothos vines as a symbol of his love for his sisters Mary and Elizabeth. My brain is stuck in Tudor England for the foreseeable future. šŸ™ƒ

Clearly I didn’t restock ._ for Mother’s Day weekend but. I’m not much of a Mother’s Day person (excepting of course my hopes for a sweet gift from my teenager šŸ˜…). I am also busy prepping LOTS of thread art and plant babies for my upcoming space and Memorial Day weekend visitors and a market on June 7th, and and and. So. Will definitely be restocking Eclectic downtown early this coming week. Thank you for your patience and continued support for my art! šŸ™šŸ„°

This philodendron brasil bb is very happy in my brightly-lit and sometimes humid bathroom, apparently! It was a long section of vine that had lost a lot of leaves, and it’s been in that cup for maybe a week. Already sprouting some bright leaves!! šŸƒšŸ’–
