Not every project that leaves the shop is just “decor.”

Some become part of a place where memories are made.

This custom Lake Ella sign was built from locally sourced red cedar and designed to live outdoors for years to come. The natural grain, live edge profile, and matching cedar bowtie inlays gave this piece a character that simply can’t be replicated with mass-produced signs.

A huge thank you to the customer who trusted me with this project and allowed me to help bring their vision to life. Projects like this are always special to build because you know they’ll become part of a place that means something to a family.

Welcome to Timber Trace.

This is my first project I wanted to share — a custom dimensional sign built for Revival IV Hydration and Hillbilly Hydration.

This piece started as a design and a sheet of material, then came together through CNC carving, layering, painting, finishing, and framing. The goal was to make something that looked clean and professional, but still had depth, texture, and character.

The black patterned background, raised 3D lettering, bright teal and pink accents, and dark wood frame all work together to make the sign stand out in person.

Timber Trace is focused on custom CNC woodwork, signs, decor, and one-off projects built with care from start to finish. No shortcuts — just quality work and attention to detail.

This sign was a fun one to build, and I’m proud of how it turned out. The bright 3D colors against the black textured background and wood frame really make it pop in person.
