A portion of each ticket sold is donated to - which is you aren’t familiar, they do a lot of the heavy lifting to educate and fight back against censorship of books and in the classroom. The simple act of attending this brunch is a great way to show your support for all of the hard work that they do!

As if that wasn’t cool enough, by attending the brunch you are supporting so many incredible female creatives and small business owners in the process… plus, it’s brunch - it’s like a win, in a win, in a win👏

I am so excited to announce that I will be hosting my next political event in just a few weeks - the Banned Book Brunch📚🍳

This incredible event is being hosted , a female owned bookstore. .carrie.cooks will be providing a delicious, curated brunch with providing some education surrounding banned/challenged books and censorship within our classrooms. There will also be some fun banned-book activities and goodies in the mix📖☕️

If this is a topic you are passionate about, not only is a portion of each ticket sale being donated to but you will leave feeling charged up and with an action plan! It doesn’t hurt that you will be supporting some locally owned, female small businesses in the process💛

Moving out of my studio has brought about a flurry of mixed emotions, but with those emotions has also come a sense of certainty. That while I am sad to close this chapter of my life, I am certain I am heading in the right direction.

I am so excited to be hosting a little dried floral pop-up at my studio space this upcoming weekend! I will be slinging dried flowers, vases and a few other goodies on Sunday March 16th from 11 am - 1 pm.🌾

Everything will be discounted and it’s the last time I will be selling dried flowers in the foreseeable future, so if you are able to swing by, I would love to see you!💛

A little floral to brighten up a gloomy Thursday morning💡

This time last year I was lucky enough to create florals for branded shoot- a vendor partner who has become such a wonderful friend! Which leads me to something important that my time in the wedding industry has taught me - you can’t quantify the value of the community you build along the way, but it will forever change and enrich your life.
-
I find that this sense of community is so important right now, in a time when putting yourself out there can be a bit scary and vulnerable. How are you seeking out community these days?
-
I know personally that in addition to my small business friends, I have found community in my pickleball friends🏓 and in this political group we have begun to form together.

To everyone who braved the rain and came out to the Galentine’s Gathering last night, thank you! You truly created a sense of hope and community that I know we are all seeking out in the uncertainty of the world we are living in.
