I had client give me a special request for a wreath for her mom for Christmas. She wanted something unique and something she could hang in her house year round to make her smile. Her mom is also a friend of mine so it was that much more important for me to get it perfect. She told me her mom's favorite color was purple and those were basically the only parameters. I knew just what I wanted to do.

I had pinecones that I'd dried out from our yard this summer. I decided to cut them down to make little flowers out of them. Once I did that, I hand painted each one and brought the flowers to life. Some got touches of glitter, some were painted with more detail than others, lots of variation in the shades, all kinds of work. I let them dry, and then found some greenery I liked to accent the vine, along with these gorgeous butterflies I found at Michaels Stores . I hot glued them to the vine wreath and then placed the butterflies randomly.

I am absolutely in love with it and so is my client. She was so excited she ran right home and gave it to her momma early!! So now that my client is happy and the cat's out of the bag, I was so excited to share it with all of you!! What do you guys think?? I loved making it so much.
