Cmdr. Ben Wild traded his naval uniform for a briefcase in 1960. He established Ben Wild & Co as a sole proprietorship and hit the road with one line, Three Mountaineers, Inc ., a wood gift line that his wife’s family owned in Asheville, NC................. and so began his manufacturers representative business. Almost 60 years later, Ben Wild is gone, Three Mountaineers is gone, but the legacy he created of integrity and excellent customer service continues with Ben Wild & Wheary Associates.
