Kids Knitting: Beginner Washcloth with Erin
Mondays, June 22 & 29, 9:00am to 11am (Kids ages 8-13)

Kids: start your knitting journey here!

In this class, students will learn the basics of knitting, and learn about needles and yarn during each lesson. For a first project students will make a soft, gorgeous washcloth. This class is broken up into two sessions, giving kids plenty of time to practice their new skills.

Class 1: Students will learn how to cast on and knit.

Class 2: More time to practice the knit stitch, casting on, and having questions answered. Students will also learn how to finish their project and weave in ends.

Ages 8-18

When choosing your class date, please note that we have two age group options available - Kids (8-13) and Teens (13-18).

Skill Level: True Beginner

Over the course of this class, you’ll explore every detail that makes a classic button-up shine — from crisp collars to perfectly set cuffs — and you’ll learn how to apply new garment construction techniques with confidence.

Skills taught in this class:

Constructing a folded button placket.
Sewing a tower placket and traditional shirt cuff.
Assembling and attaching sleeves and a collar.
Creating an enclosed back yoke using the burrito method.
Finishing your garment with topstitching, flat felled seams, and an optional hem gusset.

O to the M to the G these might just be the most beautiful fabrics we've ever laid our eyes on (and we have seen lots of beautiful fabric)!

The new Flownny Cotton Lawns from are a gorgeous hand-painted style fabric that will make the most amazing garments. Seriously, these fabrics should be in a museum, they're that beautiful.

Crochet Le Triangle Shawl with Rachael

We love this Le Triangle Shawl by Aimee Gille - it's such a simple and joyful make! Mix and match colors however you'd like. You can choose a collection of yarn minis or yarn scraps and go random, or work 2-3 skeins in an even pattern, it's up to you.

Curating Your Style with Capsule Collections with Brittany

This class is suitable for makers of any kind of wearable item, as well as non-makers!

This class is designed to break down the principles and practicalities behind a capsule wardrobe to help you curate items and outfits that feel like you and work for your lifestyle.

Capsule wardrobe approaches don’t have to be restrictive, boring, or minimalist. At its most basic, a capsule is simply a small, curated collection of items that work well with one another. Capsule collections can be an effective way to help makers plan their handmade items, integrate handmade and ready-to-wear items in their wardrobes, and get more use out of handmade items.

We’ll spend time reflecting on our style and lifestyles to define what we want out of a capsule collection. We’ll look at some fundamental components of style to find ways to create items and outfits that feel both personal and interesting. We’ll also talk about how you can choose an approach to creating a capsule collection and tailor it to your own needs.
