Faux marble backsplash on existing tile for a beautiful high rise condo in downtown Columbus Ohio.
This took three days and cost less than half the price of removing and installing real marble, not to mention how long that would take. It also can be customized to the client’s preferences and palette.
The existing tile must be scuff sanded and a coat of XIM bonding primer applied. Then two coats of a good hard cabinet paint color to spec. Then the magic happens! After the faux glazing has completely dried, I apply two coats of floor quality polyurethane to the desired sheen. For this project I used satin. The existing grout lines are then painted with a custom tinted flat paint to either compliment, blend in or contrast the marble finish. You are only limited by your imagination 😎🎯🔥
