Another two loads of wood came in on Friday and yet another on Saturday morning...some pine logs, a very large cedar log and yet more ambrosia maple. If I cut into bowl blanks, I charge but if you make an appointment, you can have a pickup load for free. Any takers,? Let me know. I'm blessed! I'll take and post photos later. I just ask that you name the wood as acquired from A Sawmill & Woodwork if you post photos.

Here's the other end. I measured and I was off 1/2" achieving parallel cut ends with log length at 30" and flat on each side. However, the whole process may not work because each end has significent splits (checks in log talk) that may well extend from one end to the other. I hope to carve legs on one end and possibly a plung cut shelf.

Yes, that's a 42" blade ued to cut the end of this red oak flat with one careful cut.

Trying to post the photos of the ambrosia maple disallowed two days ago but FB will only allow posting of one photo at a time dispite the high speed net connection. So, here's a series of one photo at a time.

Want to practice being steady on your feet? The black walnuts are falling in the farm yard. There are at least 25 large trees and each is dropping nuts. Be brave and don't wear a helment! I don't...I guess that explains alot! ;-D

Well, looks like facebook is skipping attached photos. Too much to do and so little time. This afternoon I plan to break out the big chain saw and begin carving out the large 42" red oak tables.

Final photos. I still have to cut into blanks an wax the end grain. The largest blanke wiĺl be 2.5" x 16" possibly for platters. There are two boards at 1" thick ppossibly for cutting boards.
